Two data engineers, one stubborn idea
BonusSonar is built and run by Johan and Carl — two data engineers in Stockholm.
It started the way these things do: with points that would not turn into seats. Sixty thousand EuroBonus points each, a plan to fly business to Tokyo, and evening after evening of searching sas.se one date at a time — while the seats we wanted appeared, sat open for a few hours, and vanished before we looked again.
We do data pipelines for a living. At some point the obvious question became embarrassing: why are we searching by hand for something a machine should be watching? So we built the watcher — first for ourselves, on a laptop that was not allowed to sleep, then properly, because friends kept asking to be told when their routes opened.
That is still the whole product. BonusSonar watches SAS and its partner airlines around the clock, remembers every seat it sees, and writes to members the moment something matching their alert appears. No travel-agency deals, no commissions, no affiliation with any airline — you book on sas.com with your own points, exactly as before. We just make sure you are first to know.

We show what we last observed, and it can change at any time. When we do not know, we say so.
At most two alert emails a day, never overnight. A tool for catching seats, not another inbox problem.
